Queensland Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce Invited to Attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the Queensland Chinese Affairs Committee.

On 19 July 2026, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Queensland Chinese Affairs Committee (QCAC) was held at Tattersall’s Club in Brisbane. More than 200 guests from member organisations, the political and business sectors, and various community groups attended the event to witness this significant milestone. The Queensland Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce was honoured to be invited to participate.

During the ceremony, Founding President Zhuang Yongxin introduced the background, mission, and future development plans of the Committee, while also reflecting on a series of community activities organised during its establishment. Witnessed by all distinguished guests, President Zhuang Yongxin and The Honourable Fiona Simpson MP, Queensland Minister for Women and Women’s Economic Security, Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, and Minister for Multiculturalism, jointly unveiled the Committee’s plaque, officially marking the establishment of the Queensland Chinese Affairs Committee.

Following the unveiling ceremony, congratulatory remarks were delivered by The Honourable Fiona Simpson MP, representing Queensland Premier David Crisafulli; Senator Paul Scarr; Ms Corrine McMillan MP, Member for Mansfield; Councillor Lisa Atwood, representing Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner; Mr Yang Chenqi, Acting Consul-General of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane; as well as representatives from the Indian, African, and other multicultural communities in Queensland. All speakers extended their congratulations on the establishment of the Committee and expressed their best wishes for its future development.
