[Xuzhou News] Recently, representatives from prominent Australian Chinese community organizations participated in a strategic exchange symposium organized by the Xuzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The meeting included key representatives from the Queensland Jiangsu Association & Chamber of Commerce and the Xuzhou Chamber of Commerce of Australia, among others.
During the symposium, senior officials from the Xuzhou Federation—including Miao Bin (Party Branch Secretary), Zhang Yixin (Party Member and Vice Chairperson), and Shi Shuqing (Part-time Vice Chairperson)—extended a warm welcome to the Australian delegation. Discussions centered on the development of overseas Chinese organizations, serving local economic growth, and deepening international exchange and cooperation.
The Australian delegation featured prominent community leaders, including Shen Hongwei (Former President of the Xuzhou Chamber of Commerce of Australia) and Zhang Xiaodong (Vice President of the Xuzhou Chamber of Commerce of Australia). Participants shared their experiences and insights regarding the unification of overseas Chinese compatriots, the promotion of international trade, and the advancement of cultural and educational exchange.
Representing the Queensland Jiangsu Association & Chamber of Commerce, delegates emphasized that Jiangsu compatriots living in Australia have long maintained deep ties to their ancestral home. They have actively supported local development and continue to serve as a vital bridge for grassroots exchange and cooperation between China and Australia. The Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening communication with domestic Federations and sister organizations to drive more pragmatic collaborations.
The Xuzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese noted that overseas community and business organizations are a driving force for local international engagement. They expressed hope for maintaining close contact with the Australian groups to expand cooperation in industrial partnerships, talent exchange, cultural appreciation, and education. Such efforts aim to consolidate the “heart and wisdom” of the overseas Chinese community to support Xuzhou’s high-quality development and modernization.
