Recently, a delegation led by Niu Tao, President of the Jiangsu Association and Chamber of Commerce of Queensland, visited the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation) for a friendly exchange on topics including the development of overseas chambers of commerce, resource integration, and China–Australia cooperation and exchanges.

The delegation was warmly received by Lü Jing, Director of the Department of Cultural Exchange of the Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, and Chen Lin from the Department of Cultural Exchange.

During the meeting, President Niu Tao introduced the development of the Jiangsu Association and Chamber of Commerce of Queensland in Queensland, Australia. He noted that the Association has long been committed to serving Jiangsu expatriates and corporate members in Australia, actively building a platform for communication between China and Australia, and continuing to serve as a bridge in promoting economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and community services. As China–Australia exchanges continue to deepen, the Association also hopes to strengthen cooperation with relevant organisations in Jiangsu across a wider range of fields, supporting both Chinese enterprises in expanding overseas and international businesses in entering the Chinese market.

Representatives from the Department of Cultural Exchange of the Jiangsu Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation spoke highly of the work carried out by the Jiangsu Association and Chamber of Commerce of Queensland in uniting overseas Chinese communities and promoting exchanges between China and Australia. The two sides also discussed how to make better use of the Federation’s platform and the network of overseas chambers of commerce to further promote cultural exchange activities, business visits and exchanges, and project cooperation.

Both sides agreed that overseas chambers of commerce have unique strengths in promoting international economic and trade cooperation as well as people-to-people exchanges. Building on the existing foundation of close communication, they will continue to strengthen ties and explore cooperation through multiple levels and diverse approaches, with the aim of advancing practical cooperation between Jiangsu and Australia in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and beyond.
